Va acompa\u00f1ado de <strong>malestar<\/strong> o <strong>deterioro<\/strong> en diversos \u00e1mbitos: social, laboral, educativo, acad\u00e9mico, conductual\u2026 Su definici\u00f3n cl\u00ednica tambi\u00e9n incluye que los problemas para conciliar el sue\u00f1o se producen al menos tres veces por semana y que la dificultad para dormir se produce aunque la persona tiene oportunidad de dormir. Adem\u00e1s, esta dificultad no se explica por ning\u00fan otro trastorno del sue\u00f1o, abuso de sustancias o enfermedad mental o f\u00edsica. <\/div>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Tipo de insomnio<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Las ponentes aportaron datos para clasificar el tipo de insomnio. Para que se pueda considerar de <strong>tipo cr\u00f3nico<\/strong>, deben cumplirse los seis criterios siguientes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Los pacientes presentan <strong>uno o m\u00e1s de los siguientes s\u00edntomas<\/strong>: dificultad para iniciar el sue\u00f1o, para mantenerlo, despertarse antes de lo que se desea, resistencia para acostarse en un horario apropiado, dificultad para dormir sin cuidador.<\/li>\n<li>Los pacientes afirman tener<strong> uno o m\u00e1s s\u00edntomas<\/strong> de entre los siguientes: fatiga o malestar, deterioro de la atenci\u00f3n, concentraci\u00f3n o memoria, deterioro en el rendimiento acad\u00e9mico o social, perturbaci\u00f3n del estado de \u00e1nimo, irritabilidad, somnolencia diurna, problemas de conducta, falta de motivaci\u00f3n, energ\u00eda o iniciativa, predisposici\u00f3n por errores o accidentes, preocupaci\u00f3n o insatisfacci\u00f3n con el sue\u00f1o.<\/li>\n<li>Las quejas por el sue\u00f1o\/v\u00edspera <strong>no se pueden explicar por la<\/strong> <strong>falta de oportunidades<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>La alteraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o y los s\u00edntomas diurnos asociados se producen <strong>m\u00e1s de 3 veces por semana<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>La alteraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o y de los s\u00edntomas diurnos asociados se produce durante <strong>m\u00e1s de tres meses<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>La dificultad de sue\u00f1o\/v\u00edspera <strong>no se puede explicar por otra alteraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Por el contrario, <strong>el insomnio de corto plazo (insomnio agudo o de ajuste)<\/strong> presenta las mismas caracter\u00edsticas que el cr\u00f3nico, pero con una <strong>duraci\u00f3n inferior a los 3 meses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_39515\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39515\" style=\"width: 620px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cofb.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/03.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-39515 size-large\" title=\"La m\u00e9dica Odile Romero durante la conferencia &quot;Insomnio cr\u00f3nico. Retos en el tratamiento\u201d.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Factores que predisponen, precipitan y perpet\u00faan el insomnio<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Los asistentes a la charla pudieron profundizar en algunos de los factores que pueden provocar problemas para dormir:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Factores que predisponen a tener insomnio:<\/strong> Suelen ser f<strong>actores gen\u00e9ticos<\/strong>. Hasta un 75% de las personas que padecen insomnio tienen familiares que tambi\u00e9n sufren. \u00c9ste es <strong>dos veces m\u00e1s frecuentes en mujeres que en hombres<\/strong> y, adem\u00e1s, aumenta con la edad.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Factores que precipitan el insomnio: <\/strong>Cerca del 75% de las personas que padecen insomnio sufrieron experiencias vitales estresantes en el a\u00f1o en que \u00e9ste empez\u00f3 a aparecer como p\u00e9rdidas personales (separaci\u00f3n, divorcio, muerte de un ser querido\u2026), situaciones de estr\u00e9s relacionadas con la familia, la salud o el trabajo, enfermedades, hospitalizaciones\u2026<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Factores que perpet\u00faan el insomnio: <\/strong>H\u00e1bitos incorrectos y pensamientos desadaptados sobre la falta de sue\u00f1o y el impacto en la vida de la persona. Miedo a no dormir.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Tratamiento del insomnio<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Durante la sesi\u00f3n, las ponentes expusieron algunos tratamientos para hacer frente a esta patolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F\u00e1rmacos: <\/strong>Las agencias evaluadoras (FDA, EMA) no han aprobado la indicaci\u00f3n de f\u00e1rmacos para tratamientos cr\u00f3nicos (m\u00e1s de 5 semanas de duraci\u00f3n). Los f\u00e1rmacos aprobados como hipn\u00f3ticos son: benzodiazepinas, doxepiuna, suvorexante, melatonina de liberaci\u00f3n prolongada en mayores de 55 a\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li><strong>M\u00e9todos no farmacol\u00f3gicos: <\/strong>Higiene del sue\u00f1o y terapia cognitivo-conductual. <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"destacat-blog\">\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>La higiene del sue\u00f1o y la terapia cognitiva-conductual<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>La <strong>higiene del sue\u00f1o<\/strong> pretende crear mejores h\u00e1bitos del sue\u00f1o. Algunas de las medidas pueden ser:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ir a dormir y despertarse siempre a la misma hora<\/strong>, incluidos los fines de semana y vacaciones.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estar en cama el tiempo suficiente y adaptarse a las necesidades reales del sue\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evitar la siesta<\/strong>. En casos concretos, puede permitirse una peque\u00f1a becaina despu\u00e9s de comer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No tomar bebidas que contengan cafe\u00edna y tose\u00edna<\/strong>. Si se toman por la tarde, pueden alterar el sue\u00f1o, incluso en personas que no lo perciban.<\/li>\n<li>La<strong>alcohol y el tabaco<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de perjudicar la salud, perjudican el sue\u00f1o. Por eso es necesario <strong>evitar consumir horas antes de dormir<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evitar realizar en cama<\/strong> actividades como: <strong>mirar la televisi\u00f3n<\/strong>, <strong>leer<\/strong>, <strong>escuchar la radio<\/strong>&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mantener el dormitorio a una temperatura agradable<\/strong> y con unos niveles m\u00ednimos de luz y ruido.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aparte de la higiene del sue\u00f1o, otro tratamiento no farmacol\u00f3gico del insomnio es la <strong>terapia cognitiva-conductual<\/strong>.
