El sistema inmunol\u00f3gico nos protege frente a las infecciones virales, y<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <b>la alimentaci\u00f3n, la fitoterapia y el estilo de vida en general, juegan un papel y<\/b><b>mportante en la capacidad del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico para prevenir y combatir estas enfermedades.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>La fitoterapia es de gran ayuda para mantener altas a nuestras defensas. Plantas como la equin\u00e1cea (<i>Echinacea<\/i> <i>sp<\/i>), el pelargonio (<i>Pelargonium sidoides<\/i>) o el astr\u00e1galo (<i>Astragalus membranaceus<\/i>) potencian las defensas frente a los resfriados y la gripe y entorpecen el crecimiento de ciertos virus. Sin embargo, las personas que padecen otras enfermedades deben pedir consejo al m\u00e9dico o farmac\u00e9utico, ya que pueden estar contraindicadas en ciertos estados de salud (como las enfermedades autoinmunes) o interaccionar con otros medicamentos.<\/p>\n<p>Para el tratamiento sintom\u00e1tico podemos ayudarnos tambi\u00e9n de muchas plantas, por ejemplo, para el tratamiento de la tos: <b>grindelia, hiedra, eucalipto, regaliz, tomillo, plantaje, hinojo y an\u00eds verde,<\/b> entre otros, nos ayudar\u00e1n a reducir la tos, a fluidificar la mucosidad y la expectoraci\u00f3n. Las podemos encontrar en forma de jarabes, gotas, c\u00e1psulas o infusiones.<\/p>\n<p>Otras plantas como <b>la altea, la malva, el hielo de aloe, la salvia, la menta, la mirra<\/b> y el <b>prop\u00f3leo <\/b>(que contienen los ingredientes de las plantas que liban las abejas), en spray o en tableta para disolver en la boca, alivian las molestias de la garganta inflamada e irritada.<\/p>\n<p>Del mismo modo, los <b>aceites esenciales<\/b>, como los de eucalipto, niaouli, lavanda, abeto, <b>mejorana <\/b>o <b>aladierno de hoja ancha, <\/b>ayudan a descongestionar la nariz.<\/p>\n<p>Es aconsejable tambi\u00e9n una dieta equilibrada, rica y variada en frutas y verduras, tanto cocidas como crudas. La variedad en color aportar\u00e1 variedad en antioxidantes, protectores del organismo; las bayas y frutos rojos ricos en vitamina C y flavonoides, y las verduras amarillas, naranjas y las de hojas verdes ricas en beta-caroteno, antioxidante relevante en la inmunidad<b><ins cite=\"mailto:Usuari\" datetime=\"2013-03-02T17:51\">\u00a0<\/ins><\/b>de piel y mucosas. Y las frutas c\u00edtricas como la naranja y la mandarina, y el caqui, que llegan en el mejor momento.<\/p>\n<p>Deber\u00edamos priorizar algunos alimentos como los <b>cereales integrales y las carnes magras, <\/b>que aportan vitamina B y amino\u00e1cidos para construir los componentes del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico, as\u00ed como hierro y zinc, cuyas deficiencias pueden deprimir este sistema de defensas. Tambi\u00e9n el <b>yogur y las bebidas l\u00e1cteas fermentadas <\/b>que, a trav\u00e9s de sus microorganismos vivos, act\u00faan m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la inmunidad intestinal para aumentar la resistencia a estas infecciones.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando se est\u00e1 enfermo, la alimentaci\u00f3n debe ser <b>suave y con alimentos nutritivos y reconfortantes<\/b>. Continuar comiendo <b>frutas y verduras <\/b>y asegurar la hidrataci\u00f3n. La <b>sopa de pollo y los omega-3 del pescado<\/b> a trav\u00e9s de su efecto antiinflamatorio pueden aliviar s\u00edntomas como el dolor de garganta. Adem\u00e1s, el zinc de las <b>carnes magras y de ave<\/b> es asociado con acortar la duraci\u00f3n de los s\u00edntomas del resfriado. Los <b>frutos secos,<\/b> adem\u00e1s de zinc, contienen antioxidantes como el selenio y la vitamina E.
